Captain’s Day
Although matches are important to the club, there is also an active social side and this was very much in evidence on Sunday September 9th, when the annual Charity Day was held. Many of the members attended, along with a few visitors, in support of the Mylor Bridge King George V Playing Field. A worthy cause, helping another of our valued village amenities.
The theme was Cornwall and many were dressed in Cornish apparel and paraphernalia. A fabulous day full of fun with a new playing format, based on Linda Storey’s tried and tested Bowls Drive system. A barbeque lunch and afternoon tea ensured ample fuelling and refreshment.
A considerable sum was raised and will be added to that already accumulated over the year.
