Casual play, practice, guests and fees

Casual play is subject to club rules as below.

The green is open for privately arranged matches and casual play from 10:00 each day (12:00 on Tuesdays).  No play is allowed before this time without the prior arrangement of the greenkeeper.  Members are advised to check the fixture and booking lists before making their own arrangements, and to use the booking system for their own requirements.  Players who have booked times always have priority over those who have not.

Members may practice at any time of day, but not before 12:00 on Tuesdays.  Practising players may be asked to move rinks to enable essential maintenance work to be carried out.

Provided the green has sufficient availability, members may play with guests after 10:00, upon payment of the required fee (£3 per guest, per 2-hour time slot) and in accordance with the rules of the club. All fees to be deposited in Treasurer’s payment box, in envelope showing guest names, before play commences. In addition, all guest details must be entered in the visitor book and there is a limit of three visits in a membership year for any individual. The host member is responsible for ensuring a guest has appropriate footwear and is sufficiently aware of the need to care for the green and fabric of the club.

Formal team practice sessions and organised roll-ups (as opposed to casual practice) will incur a charge of £1 per player, excluding refreshment cost.

Match fees may vary and will be set by various County administrative bodies.  Players will be notified of such fees as appropriate.

Refreshment charges are posted within the kitchen and payment must be deposited in the refreshment payment box.
