Club Competitions 2026

Registration for the 2026 Club Competitions is now open.  Just go to the members fixture list and it’s the first item.

All booking details are contained within the fixture details page.

For those who are new to the club competitions, here’s a summary of the formats:.

       Men’s Championship Singles –Singles match with 4 bowls each.  The winner is the first player to reach 21 shots.

       Ladies Championship Singles – Singles match with 4 bowls each.  The winner is the first player to reach 21 shots.

       Men’s Handicap Singles – Singles match with 4 bowls each.  The winner is the fist to reach a target score.  For the lower handicapped player, this is 21. The          higher handicapped player needs to reach 21 plus the difference between their handicap and the opponent’s.

      Ladies Handicap Singles – Singles match with 4 bowls each.  The winner is the fist to reach a target score.  For the lower handicapped player, this is 21. The          higher handicapped player needs to reach 21 plus the difference between their handicap and the opponent’s.

       Mixed Singles – Singles match with 4 bowls each.  The winner is the first player to reach 21 shots.

3 Sets of 7 – Singles with 4 bowls each. Three sets of 7 ends each. Player with highest score after 7 ends, wins the set. Best of three sets wins the match.  Tied sets are halved except deciding set, when extra end will decide winner.

 3-2-1 – Singles match with 3 bowls each. The first player to reach 65 shots is the winner. 6 shots are available at each end as follows: nearest jack-3 shots, 2nd wood-2 shots, 3rd wood-1 shot. If both players reach 65 shots on the same end, the player with shot wood is the winner.

   Mixed Pairs -Pairs match with 4 bowls each. The winner is the team with the highest score after 21 ends.  In the event of a tie, an extra end will be played to        decide the winner.
