Clubhouse Roof -New Update

Clubhouse Repairs – new update  8th October 2026

De to the ‘DIY-SOS’ operating speed of our contractors, the roof is already complete to the point whereby the clubhouse is now usable.  A remarkable effort by all concerned.

Commencement delayed until 6th October.  Now available for practice sessions on 5th

Some years ago, one of our members left a donation to the club in her will for repairs to the clubhouse roof.  The money was invested and we now have sufficient funds to remove the existing asbestos sheets which are now letting water into the roof space and replace them with modern insulated panels.

Building Regulation approval has been received from Cornwall County Council.  S W Cladding from Liskeard have been awarded the contract for carrying out the work of removal and disposal of all the asbestos sheets and replacing with 80mm thick insulated core panels.

The scaffolding will be commenced on 29th Sept.  Some of the materials will be delivered on 30th Sept and the remainder on 5th October.  Work on the roof will commence on the 5th October and hopefully will be completed by 21st October.

The clubhouse will be CLOSED COMPLETELY during daylight hours from 5th October until further notice for safety reasons
Part of the car park will be roped off for the contractors use only.
An update will be sent out as work proceeds.
Thank you for your co-operation
