Carpet Bowls – Finals update

With the season’s end rapidly approaching, a summary of recently completed Carpet Bowls competitions is worthy of note.

Our men’s singles champion, Chris Johns, went on to win the District Singles Final also Another great feather in the cap of our distinguished Carpet Bowlers.

The recent Drawn Mixed Pairs was well won by Lucie Sulch and Ron Weatherhead, with Sue Rath and one of our newer members, Jim White, finishing as runners-up.

The Ladies Drawn Pairs competition was another well organised and attended event, with Wendy fowler and Sue Kelly just pipping Lucie Sulch and Sarah Curnow, to take the title by one point.

To cap it all, the Mylor A team won their league with the B team finishing a creditable 4th in the table.
