County Champions

A lesson in not giving up was demonstrated by our Whyte Rickard team (Elaine, Linda, Frances, Judy & Jan), when they were crowned County Champions yesterday ay Bickford Smith.

Firstly they came from 1-12 down to defeat a strong (on paper) Grampound team then, in the final against an equally decorated Chacewater side, they clawed back from a similar position and scored 2 on the final end to force a tie and go into extra time.  It was the Mylor ladies who held their nerve and when the vastly experienced Jenny Prime, sent her final wood past the head, the win was theirs.
