Ladies reminders
1. The ladies’ County luncheon takes place on Monday 3rd October at Sandy Lodge, Newquay. This will be a particularly good event because our team will be picking up a trophy as County Champions in the Whyte Rickard Trophy. Everyone and all support is most welcome. The list and menu is still up on the noticeboard in the club and there is still time to sign up if you would like to attend. Please add your name, menu choices and leave your cheque, all of which I will be picking up from the club on Monday 12th September.
2. Update on the current situation with regards to our intended County League entry for 2023. This needs to be submitted at the end of the month (we haven’t heard otherwise). So far we have 15 names + 1 reserve. If we have enough reserves we should again be able to enter 2 Rippon and 1 Date. The rules can be found on p.20 of County Handbook. If you are interested in being considered, please sign up on the list on the ladies’ noticeboard. We have to pay to enter and cannot add teams after the closing date.
3. For any not interested in the league, Group 4 runs its own ladies’ Evening League. This does not form part of the county entry, we just organise the fixtures with other interested clubs in our division. Details on p.66 of the County Handbook, but if you require any more information, please let me know.
4. The new date for the Ladies’ Drawn Pairs is Wednesday 21st September. Please sign up online or remove your name from the original list if you are now unable to play; (to remove your name, go to ‘your fixtures’).
