Sad News
With the deepest of sadness, we have to report the passing of two of the Club’s closest associates.
After a lengthy illness. Susan, wife of our treasurer Tony Hill, lost her battle and passed away quietly. Always great fun to be with, Sue was never afraid to give her opinion, and back it up if required.
Sadly, She didn’t get the chance to enjoy her new home and involve herself in the designing and decorating of it, to get it the way she and Tony wanted.
The Club sends its sincere condolences to Tony and all their family, to let them know we are thinking of them.
************************************************************************************************************************************We are equally saddened to learn that Bill Foote has also passed away.
Bill was a long-term member of Mylor Bowling and, for many years, was a first class bowler. A true gentleman and traditionist, he often bemoaned the lowering of dress standards, would never wear dark socks with white trousers and, when circumstances allowed, would wear a collar and tie to play!
Bill never lost his London wit, enjoyed his joint racehorse ownership, and would readily offer advice and encouragement to those less experienced than him. He never got over the loss of his beloved Joan, with whom he is now reunited.
He will be sorely missed.
