Clash of the Carpets

Saturday 28th February 2026 – 7pm

A hugely popular event, which has become a regular feature of the indoor season.

For newer Members who may not have experienced this event before, we set up one Short Mat and one Carpet. Teams are drawn and play each other at Carpet Bowls and Short Mat bowls. All equipment is provided other than shoes. Each team’s scores for all matches are then added together and the accumulated score  in both formats is calculated. The team with the highest score is the winner.

There will obviously be a mix of skills in each team, and even if you have not played either game before it doesn’t matter. It makes for a hilarious evening where every team has a chance.

The cost of the evening is £2 per person and the bar will be open.
