Carpet Bowls cancelled – Petanque option

Further to the earlier announcement regarding short-mat bowling, I regret to inform members that notification has been received today of the cancellation of all Carpet bowls events over the Winter season.  As the situation continues to evolve over the months ahead the committee will continue to assess whether our club is able to safely start with any internal bowling for short mat / carpet bowls.

The proposal for building a Petanque court at the club to use during reasonable weather conditions over the Winter is still under consideration and will be placed before the next committee meeting in August. At present I have received 13 responses of interest.  If any further members (who have not already replied) are interested then please advise me and I’ll add you to the expression of interest list.
