Mylor supports blind bowling

For some years now, Mylor Bowling has supported Falmouth based charity, ABLE (Active Blind Leisure), by hosting bowling days for their blind and visually impaired members.  In fact, this year, ABLE is our official charity, so it was our pleasure to continue the tradition, by welcoming their members once again to play on our lovely green.

Despite the damp, grey weather,  it was rewarding to again see how much the visitors enjoy these days out and really look forward to them. Even more amazing is the quality of their bowling, with only a length of string as a guide!

As with all such events, they do require a level of club support to allow them to run efficiently and safely.  It is hoped that more members will look out for the next time (there’s usually three a year), and offer their services to assist.
