Update – 23rd February 2026
This weekend’s matches saw a great win for Mylor Incredibowls, whilst Falmouth Packets lost their match, giving The Incredibowls a two point advantage over the Packets, at the top of the table, with two to play. Mylor Loose Ends suffered an uncharacteristically heavy defeat but should have sufficient points in hand to finish in a credible third spot. The final game of Incredibles versus Loose Ends, now takes on a new significance. Let’s hope there is plenty of support cheering both teams.

We are moving to a nail-biting finish in the Falmouth Winter League, at times splashing our way through the ‘all-weather’ surface, which has been truly tested by more than 40 days of incessant rain. There have been some wonderful games despite this, and the competition is still wide open, as we approach the Winter season’s climax.
This was certainly heightened last Sunday, when the top two teams faced each other; Falmouth Packets, on home ‘turf’ against Mylor Incredibowls, who started the match 2 points behind in the table. The dream team of Norman, Andy and Kevin secured the valuable win, which took them level on points, although The Packets keep their noses in front by way of a slightly better shot difference.
Mylor’s Loose Ends still held third place, but the previous two weeks had seen their results slip a little. A win was critical, and they duly delivered it. Unfortunately it was against Mylor’s Miracles, but it did allow them to hold on to third place.
Only three games left; let’s hope that all of our teams can consolidate or improve their positions. The last game on March 8th promises to be interesting, with Mylor Incredibowls, currently second, against Mylor Loose Ends, currently third. Is there a final twist on the final day? Watch this space or, better still, watch the match live by going to see our teams in action.
Whatever the outcome, to field three sides at all, let alone having two in the top three places is testament to the commitment, enthusiasm and skill of Mylor members, who should be heartily congratulated.
